7iDigital is a venture by 7Avenues Private Equity to offer affordable low cost consumer electronics: Laptops, Mobile Phones, and Digital Cameras.

We have been planning this for a while now, and decided to use our collective technology and business expertise to bring quality laptops that are still very low cost. We plan to do this by having minimum fixed costs and marketing costs.

Our customers for laptops range from students in schools and universities, to people working from home, to professionals working in small and large companies. We rely on our customers to spread our message and we pass the savings to them by offering the lowest cost digital products.

So whether you are an individual or a business, you will always save money with 7iDigital.

Our team behind this venture includes experienced professionals, including alumni from various leading institutes in India, Singapore, US, and Europe.

The Executive Team includes:

• Apurva Sharan, is the CEO of 7iDigital, with techno-commercial expertise in computing systems, gained through working with Texas Instruments, Microsoft, Adobe, and other hi-tech companies.He is a member-investor of 7Avenues Private Equity, and alumnus of IIT Delhi (BTech, Computer Science & Engineering)

• Shankar AVSB, with experience in growing new-technology ventures and creating innovative market channels, gained through working with ABB, Infosys, BP, Fidelity and Citigroup. He is the CEO of 7Avenues Private Equity and alumnus of NIT Jaipur (Electrical Engineering), IIM Lucknow and Stanford University

• Sandeep Saxena, with experience in growing retail ventures and negotiating large business deals. He is the MD of 7Avenues Private Equity and CEO of 7to9 Retail, and alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Lucknow

• Pankaj Lal, with experience in implementing systems, processes and supply chain for large scale growth. He is the COO of 7to9 Retail, and alumnus of IIT Kanpur and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA
• Gourav Khabya, with experience in sales channels and customer service. Alumnus of IIT Bombay
• Sanket Mehta, with experience in building retail business and financial planning. Alumnus of IIT Bombay.

We are using our combined professional experience, in creating computing hardware and software, and in creating innovative procurement and distribution channels.

We are bound by business agreements not to share details till July 2008. What we can share is that we are committed to bring the most affordable laptops in India and worldwide — so that more people can benefit in their studies, work and life.

We believe this venture will also create new employment opportunities at various levels in the supply chain across India and every country where we will start selling our laptops because we will involve the local talent and entrepreneurs.
